BRIEF SUMMARY

People who have experienced trauma are at higher risk for a wide range of psychological and health problems. Expressive writing is a therapeutic intervention for improving coping with stressful or traumatic events. More specifically, it is a way to express yourself and what you're experiencing. It serves to make your feelings tangible and real.
