BRIEF SUMMARY
Mindfulness can be defined as "Paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment and without establishing value judgements" (Jon Kabat-Zinn, 1990). It is a state of consciousness that aims to accept the present moment without judging the thoughts, feelings or sensations that the person presents. Through the practice of Mindfulness, one can become aware of reality, work with emotions in a conscious way, accept them and integrate them. All this contributes to improving the person's resilience and quality of life. Mindfulness training can be carried out through meditative techniques or through conscious breathing and body awareness.
